On Thursday we had moves day and that was fun to see a bunch of missionaries going in and out of the center. There wasn't a lot of changes that happened so i didn't see as many people as i usually do. My first son Elder VanWagoner got transferred to Romerike which is in my district now. That will be awesome to see him more often now and he will be training so i get another grandson!
We visited one of our investigators yesterday after church. His name is H and he is a pretty old Norwegian guy who is pretty funny. He calls us boys and he likes showing us all of his medals and trophies he won from being in the military. We gave him a Book of Mormon to start reading about two weeks ago and then we haven't had time to go back there until yesterday. Well come to find out he has been reading it all this time and he is now in Mosiah. That was a miracle and he also has a wife and a 30yr old son that we will hopefully start teaching.
We got on the trikk to head home after our teach with H when I noticed a familiar hat... it was a Utah Jazz hat. A popular thing among the youth this year is to buy these retro NBA hats. I went up to him and said he had a nice hat. I told him I was from Utah but he gave me a look of confusion ha ha. I don't think he knew where Utah was or that his hat represented an NBA team. I think he just bought it because it looked cool. I've seen a lot of New York Yankees hats here, and I'll ask if they are fans, but they have no idea what I'm talking about. Anyways i think he thought i was crazy!
I know that this is the only true church on the face of this world. How blessed are we to be members of Christ's church. What a great blessing it is to come to this earth and gain a body. We have been given this time to learn and grow and experience sorrow but also joy. Let us all take advantage of our time here and find way's to serve our fellow beings as well as become the person that the Lord seeth fit. I love you all and I'm so grateful for all of your support!
