Hei Hei Familie,
How y'all doing? How is everything else going? I can't believe summer is almost over and that school is starting soon.
It has been a great week here in Oslo. To begin with we got a baptismal date with S for the 15th of September! It was an amazing lesson and I'm so excited for her. We taught her about the importance of Jesus Christ and having Faith in Him. The spirit has never been so strong than in this teach. We watched the finding faith in Christ DVD before we committed her to get baptized. She said yes before we could even finish the sentence. She had already talked to her family in Iran and they told her that they were fine with it if she has found something that brings her joy. That is a miracle as in itself. Usually the family disowns the person if they convert to Christianity and even go so far to hire an assassin. She has a lot of confirmations that baptism is the right thing to do. I'm so grateful for the spirit and that it confirms truth to any honest seeker of the truth.
We had another miracle happen this week where we had been trying to get a hold of a less active and we finally got a hold of her. We had one night this week where we didn't have much planned so we decided to go visit this less active named B from Vietnam. She answered the door and her whole family was there. It was awesome! We got to meet her two kids that are 12 years old and her husband who is also from Vietnam. She came to Norway over 20 years ago and joined the church with her sister. She got married and has since gone in-active. She is the only member in her family and her husband has nothing against the church from what we could tell. This is a great opportunity to bring an entire family into the church. I'm so excited to start working with them and she said the only reason she hasn't been going to church is because they have been busy with their kids and sports. If her husband and kids come to church with her then it can be a family thing that i know will bless their lives. It's a lot easier to get that fire burning in B when she has already tasted of the fruit that comes from the gospel.
We played basketball again on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. We played with two guys from Latvia and i was on their team. We beat the other missionaries and it was a lot of fun.
I love my mission! Deciding to serve a mission is the best decision i have made in my life. I can't wait for Jake and Justin to serve a mission and experience the joy that comes from it. It's important that they don't dribble out of bounds. I would encourage you all to watch the mormon message called, Stay within the lines. It is really good and i know its tough to be a teenager sometimes but you won't regret staying clean and being able to have the spirit with you to guide and direct you throughout your day.
I love you all and i can't wait to hear from you all next week!
Eldste Godfrey
