Hei Hei Familie!
It seems like it was just yesterday when I E-mailed you last. Time goes by way to fast and transfers is almost over. We only have one full week left! I've been blessed to have a solid companion who loves to work hard. Jakob du må fokusere! I'm proud of Jakob that he got his Eagle. It is about time, you know Jakob when I was your age I couldn't even get my learners permit until i got my Eagle... man times have changed haha. Now only Justin has to get his Eagle and then mom is graduated from scouts and the boys knowledge is the same from when we started scouts haha. We had a Halloween party last Friday at the church which was a lot of fun. We probably had about 50 people there and Astri our investigator came. Astri is an amazing person and is so nice. She is actually coming to the church today and teaching us how to make boller which is Norwegian bread that is really good.
This week has been another difficult week for finding and teaching. I feel like we have the faith and were doing what were supposed to be doing but things are just not getting handed to us. There is something that the Lord wants us to learn when we go through slow times. The Devil is working hard as he ever has but we have been able to stay positive and continue to do our best. This last week Elder Tedrow came to Kristiansand for splits and we were able to find someone who could turn into a very positive investigator. He is good friends with Fredrik who is serving a mission right now. We have an appointment with him this week. Due to a lack of success from contacting in the city and knocking, Elder Bolt and I have introduced the stop smoking program to the branch for another way to find people. We have an appointment today with a member and his friend who wants to stop smoking. If all goes well he has another friend lined up who we could start teaching. Elder Bolt and I have been trying to come up with new ideas on how to find people. I know we will be lead to those people that the lord has prepared for us when we listen to the promptings of the spirit.
Thought:
We have been sharing this message with all of the members at dinner appointments about good and evil in the world. In 2 Nephi 2:11 it tells that there will always be opposition in all things. Good and evil will always exist and its our responsibility to choose good. In Moroni 7:12 it tells us that all things that are good come from God and all things that are evil come from the Devil. The Gospel comes from God or the Devil. The Book of Mormon comes from God or the Devil. In 2 Nephi 2:27 it tells we have been given agency to choose. Let us all choose to follow God and choose Eternal Life and be saved in the Kingdom of God.
I hope everything is going well for you all! I can't believe Christmas is around the corner. I don't really need anything, you don't need to send me blades anymore or deodorant so don't worry about that. I sent a package to all y'all last week so it should get there this week or next. I have a tracking number i forgot to bring with me so I'll have to tell you it next week. Keep taking pictures of the house its cool to see the building process. It's a good thing i packed most of my stuff before i left on my mission. Make sure you don't throw anything away without you guys asking me haha. Has anyone moved into my room? I miss you guys and i love you all. I look forward to hearing from you next week!
