Hallo Familie,
Well today i don't have a lot of time to write you because I'm in Stavanger for a couple of days. We drove this morning for four hours and we have a conference tomorrow and than will drive back tomorrow night. This will probably be my last time in Stavanger this transfer. I'm not sure if I'll be leaving Kristiansand or staying. This last week has been pretty cold around 50s with rain and wind. It gets dark now at around 7:30 so contacting can be pretty cold after 7:00. I bought a new European suit last week for 600kr. which is a little over 100 bucks which is a really good deal. They are usually 1500kr. The European style is pretty cool and i might come home looking like a European haha. I took some pictures with E. bolt with Benjamin and one of our investigators from the Philippians. I'll have to send them next week when i have my cord. It was so good to hear from Jake and Jessie. I love hearing from my family!!!
This last week has been another tough one with finding and teaching. I think the weather has something to do with it sometimes. When its raining and cold people don't want to stop and listen. I've talked to a lot of missionaries here and they all tell me the tough times is when you grow the most. Even though Elder Bolt and I are not having a lot of success we are growing a lot. Sometimes God wants us to go through tough times and struggle a little bit because this is where we grow. I feel like i have grown so much on my mission and if i went home today my life would be forever changed. This last Sunday we had 5 students from a local university come and visit our church. They have to write a report about our church for their class. None of them knew much about the church and so it was a great opportunity to teach them. After church was over a member and us sat with these five students and talked about the church and answered any questions they had. They told us they felt very welcomed by everyone and loved the meetings. They were very curious how lds families raise their children and what it was like to be a missionary. We talked with them about family home evening and the way we view families as eternal. They thought this was very interesting and was very impressed with our church. I hope some of them will continue to research the church and visit again. The Gospel can bless any one's life!
Sorry that this e-mail is a little shorter but i think I'm going to write a personal message to everyone so everyone can send me and e-mail back.
Investigators: We don't have many investigators that are progressing. We taught this new investigator named Mohammad and gave him a soft commitment to be baptized and he accepted but we don't have a date with him yet.
I love you all and i miss you! Talk to you all next week!
Elder Godfrey
