HAPPY MOTHERS NORWEGIAN DAY!!!!
How goes it with you all? The Lord has been so merciful to Elder V and I. We have been so blessed in our area and I know that it's all thanks to the Lord. We got a baptismal date with D in the beginning of March. We also had five people in church which was a huge blessing. When you look at how much time we have in our area it truly is a miracle. We were outside of our area for three out of the seven days this week.
We had an amazing experience teaching D this week. We have been taking President and Sister Evans on teaches with her. D is from Kenya and has two kids. She is so prepared and when she said "yes" to baptized then she asked us, "how can i prepare for my baptism?" As you can imagine our ears loved hearing that question and it caught us a little off guard.
We have been traveling a lot lately and we will continue to be on the road a lot. It has been a humbling experience to learn from these great missionaries in the Norway Mission. I look up to them and I'm grateful for their examples. On Wednesday we had ZLC (zone leader council) which turned out great like it always does. On Friday we had a leadership training meeting in Oslo which was held over skype for some of the distant areas. It was the first time we have used skype for leadership training meeting and it worked out alright but it's not the same when everyone is there in person.
After the training meeting, Elder V and I drove to Halden with President and Sister Evans. It's about an hour and a half away and we wanted to check the city out to see if there is a possibility to send missionaries there. It is a beautiful city that is right on the border between Sweden and Norway. The only problem is that investigators would have to drive over forty minutes to get to church. It was a lot fun being with President and Sister Evans and they took us out for ice cream at McDonald's afterwards.
On Saturday, we drove to Fredrikstad and worked with the missionaries there. It was a great city to work in and it's fairly large. We were with them for a few hours before we drove to Moss to work with the Elders there. We have gotten a lot of good feedback when we go and do these mini splits for a couple of hours.
On Sunday, I had one of the best times I've had on my mission at church. All five investigators that came to church have a possibility of getting baptized. It's incredible to see how the Lord is preparing these people to accept the gospel.
I want to thank you for all of your support! You all are great examples to me and I look forward to reuniting with you all when the time comes. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and He wants the best for us. Through His Son Jesus Christ we can receive eternal life and live with our Heavenly Father again.
Have a great week and I love you all!
Eldste Godfrey
