Hei Familie,
How are things going? I want to challenge everyone in the family to write at least one letter a week to me haha. I hope Dallas wins the nba finals but honestly being here in the MTC i don't really care about worldly things. Elder Adams has some cool stories, i enjoy reading his letters to his family. I can't believe Preece is going to Mexico that will be pretty sweet. Our companionship is doing awesome! We have taught some awesome lessons together to our progressive investigators in Norwegian. I'm really glad i'm companions with Elder Wandtke. He is a way cool kid and we have a lot in common. He wants to come to BYU Hawaii with me. He played on the golf team at Jordan High in Sandy. The Morgan Jewelers son was on the golf team too so he knows him. I've been playing a lot of beach volleyball lately and it's a lot of fun. The food is pretty good here depending on the day but i can usually find something that sounds good. I eat a lot of Arby's fries and papa johns pizza haha. The language is coming along great. I got really frustrated the other day because we had an english fast at lunch where we could only speak Norwegian, i felt like i didn't know anything. I prayed and realized that God has taught me so much and the next english fast i was telling stories in Norwegian. I love learning Norwegian it's a lot of fun. I went to the temple today and i had the opportunity to be a proxy son in the sealing room and then after that i did initiatories. I learned a lot today in the temple. I look forward to going to the temple every wednesday. When i was in the sealing room a women that was at the alter passed out because she had been kneeling too long, it was crazy. During initiatories then there was a kid who came in with a bunch of names, he was from China and he is going to be serving a mission in august. I was able to do some of the names that he brought in and they dated back to the 1600s and they were all from China. It was a really cool experience. Elder Packer from the seventy spoke to us on tuesday. I sang in the choir again, it's actually a lot of fun. I think our district will continue to sing in the MTC Choir. I'm not very good at singing but i really enjoy it. I sat in the perfect spot and during the devotional they zoomed up on me so i was the only one on the screen haha. I probably looked way off tune haha. Elder Packer talked about the learning process for an investigator. We first need to: hear > remember > understand > apply > Become. We can apply this to our lives in things that we are taught. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord for two years. I have been learning a lot about the plan of salvation this week and i know that because of Jesus Christ and His atonement we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I love the message that I'm going to be able to share with the world. I was talking with an Elder from Norway that left this morning to the Salt Lake City Mission. He said there is a lot of work being done in Norway and it's really starting to grow. We should get a second stake when I'm there and hopefully an announcement for a temple by the time i leave Norway. Elder Packer said the gospel is really growing right now and with the signs of the times people are looking for the truth. I'm so excited for Norway it's going to be awesome! I learn more and more about it everyday. The Elder from Norway told us they have a $20 foot long at subway haha. I found out this week that the last week I'm here then all the new mission presidents will be coming in for training and the apostles and the prophet will be here. I'm super excited for that. I love all you guys and i love hearing from you all. I don't have a lot of time to write on here so please don't send me e-mails, either write a letter or use dear elder. Talk to you all soon!
Love, Eldste Godfrey
