Hey y'all! This week has been another busy week and I don't know where to begin. I've never been so busy in my life which is a good thing because it keeps my focus on my mission ha ha. I remember the times when dad was really busy at work and he would say that the papers just keep piling up on his desk. I feel the same way now ha ha. I have a stack of papers that I need to go through this week.
On Monday we drove to Sarpsborg to drop off some desks and other supplies to the elders working in the Moss area. We did a lot of office work this week which took a big chunk out of our time. We had a specialized training meeting for the district leaders and the zone leaders on Friday so Elder W and I had to make several car trips to the airport. The AP's in this mission are known for being chauffeurs and travel agents ha ha. Mom, I'm going to be amazing at planning trips after my mission. I can't even count how many plane tickets I've bought in the last week.
Elder W and I will be flying to Stavanger on Wednesday night and be coming back on Friday morning. We will be going on splits with the zone leaders there. Elder V and Elder A are the two zone leaders there which is really funny because i trained Elder V and mothered Elder A. It will be a family reunion! We haven't gotten any snow yet in Sandvika but I'm sure it's coming. Stavanger got 7 inches so that will be fun. It has been extremely cold here with it being around -10C. Last winter it never got in the negatives until after Christmas.
On Saturday, we helped a part member family move from Oslo to Sandvika. H is a Norwegian non-member who married a member from Arizona named K. They are awesome and I came in contact with them in Oslo when I was there. They were a referral from a member in Oslo. K is friends with Sister O so i hope she can help bring their family to the church. It would be wonderful if we could bring H into the church. It would create a strong family in the church for many generations.
It was a lot of fun moving their stuff and we were able to move everything from their apartment into their new house in about six hours. They came with us to Drammen on Sunday for the annual Christmas concert. It was absolutely amazing! There is a member (Sister Berg) in Bergen who is famous for her singing all over the world. She had some solos that just blew everyone off their seats. Sissel, who sang with the Mormon Tab, and Sister Berg are probably the top two singers in Norway.
I received a really nice complement from a member on Sunday. I went up and bore my testimony and when sacrament meeting was over she asked me what I wanted to be after the mission. I told her that I'm planning on studying business and accounting. She then said, you would be a great business administrator.
It has been hard to find time to contact and find new investigators but I'm confident that the Lord will bless us for the little time that we have. I've already learned a lot from being AP and I'm sure I will continue to learn a lot. The mission is really struggling right now and we need to turn it around. It's really hard to pin-point the problems but I know that there is a reason of why I'm here at this time. I hope I can make a difference for this mission and that we will be able to see many miracles in the future. The most important thing that I do is to rely on the spirit and put my full trust in Heavenly Father.
I love you all and I'll talk to you all next week!
Eldste Godfrey
