Hei alle sammen!
How y'all doin? I can't believe how much snow you all got. We have nothing here in Oslo. We got a couple of snow storms but it all melted away. The house looks way sick though! I can't believe it's Christmas next month. Time goes by so fast! I can't believe that I've been in Oslo for six months now. I should be leaving but I won't find out until next week and then I'll let you all know.
This week we had Zone Leader Council and it was awesome as usual! We had really good food prepared by Sister Evans again. Our focus for November is going to be, Preparation for Baptism. This week will have Zone Training Meeting where we will travel down to Tønsberg and give a two hour presentation. We will also have one in Oslo so we are going to be really busy this week. Our presentation is going to be on the Doctrine of Christ so I'm really happy about this. I have been reading a lot of conference talks about the Doctrine of Christ this week.
We set a goal for the mission to get 100 new investigators this week and we almost accomplished it. We got 98 new investigators which is a record i think. We usually get around 30-40 new investigators in the mission so 98 is incredible. Eldste T and I have picked up a lot of new investigators over the last couple of weeks. We have been really blessed and now we need to care of all these people. We were planning on 4-6 investigators at church yesterday but none of them came so that was a little frustrating. We should have a lot of people in church next week so pray for people to come.
We met with I from the farrow islands on Thursday. That turned out really well and the member we took with us was awesome. Bro A just barely got home from his mission in Canada. The Oslo ward needs leaders and he is going to really help out. He will be coming to church this Sunday and he said he is going to bring a friend. We are really close to start working with three families all with small kids. The Oslo Ward/Stake fasted for missionary work and for us to find families and we are seeing how powerful prayer and fasting is.
We held a street stand on Saturday in downtown Oslo again. It poured rain all day long so it didn't turn out as good as we had hoped for. We were still able to meet some interested people so it was worth it. It has been raining everyday for like two weeks straight now and it makes it a little harder to do missionary work. It is also getting dark at like 4:30 now so that's no fun ha ha but luckily it hasn't been that cold.
I love teaching people the gospel. Its a completely different atmosphere when you teach someone sitting down and you begin and close with a prayer. It is common to have most of your teaches on the street but we have been blessed to have a lot of sit down teaches lately. The spirit is always so strong and it's amazing to see the spirit work on others. I hope I'm becoming the person the Lord wants me to be. It's extremely important that I'm humble and teachable so I can become that person the Lord has in store for me. I love you all so much and I can't wait to hear from you all again.
Eldste Godfrey
