Hei Hei

Åssen går det Familie?  I would have to agree with pops this week went by way fast.  We normally have just two APs but because we have so many new missionaries they made traveling APs who just travel around going on splits training up the missionaries.  Elder Carmichael and Elder Facer from Arizona and Texas flew in on Monday night.  They stayed til Thursday morning.  We had a blast and i learned a lot from them.  Ever since they left I've had a really good attitude towards everything.  I've made contacting a lot of fun and even though some of the people want nothing to do with the church I've been able to make them laugh or smile.  Missionary work has its ups and downs but the ups makes up for the downs.  I love being a missionary and i can't believe how fast time has gone by.  After this transfer a 1/3 of my mission is gone.  On Thursday we taught Andrè in the center with two members.  After the teach on Thursday we had a thanksgiving party at the center.  Andrè stayed and the Arendal Elders came up as well.  It was a lot of fun and we ate lots of food.

We had a lady that we have been working with come to church this Sunday who is from Liberia.  She is really nice lady and a devout catholic.  The members were very welcoming which always helps out a lot.  For sacrament meeting we had a primary program so it turned out really good for Esther (investigator).  She really liked church and hopefully she will keep coming.  How we met Esther is a really cool experience actually.  Elder VanWagoner and I had 45 min to knock on doors one night and we really wanted to find someone we could get a return appointment with.  She was the first door we knocked on and we got a return appointment for a couple days later.  We have since taught her a few other times.  One time we watched finding faith DVD with her and she could almost quote the whole thing haha.  She loves God and she loves her Bible.

This last week it's been in the mid to low 40s which isn't to bad but it has been really rainy and windy.  It poured all day Friday and Saturday and we got soaked.  On Sunday it didn't rain but the wind picked up really bad,   It made it really fun for contacting haha.  At church we got invited to go over to Torleifs house for dinner but we would have about 30 min to contact before the appointment.  Elder VanWagoner and I picked an apartment complex and we started knocking.   We had about two buildings to knock and i knocked on the first door.  The person answered and said nei takk (no thanks).  Now it was Elder VanWagoners turn and the next person wasn't home.  We continued on and not one single person answered their door after that.  We had about two doors left and i asked Elder VanWagoner if he had just been ringing the door bell or knocking.  He told me just ringing the door bell and then we realized that the door bells were not working and the electricity had gone out because of the wind haha.    It was really funny and now we need to try that area again.

How are you guys doing?  It sounds like Thanksgiving was a blast and if i would have got a black eye from Jakob trying to steal the ball from me i probably would have beat him haha just kidding.  I got the package this week and i can't wait to open the presents.  Thanks so much for everything!  Should i wait til Christmas to open all the stuff or is there anything I'm supposed to open before?  The Cd's are awesome and I've already listened to all of the Disney cds and some of the Christmas Cd's haha.   I love you guys and thanks so much for everything you do and i look forward to hearing from you next week.  On Christmas were going to Evje which is about an hour away to the Zuchers house.  They are an awesome family and it will be a lot of fun.  They said they will have two computers hooked up ready to go for Skye so that should be fun.  Tell Grandma hi for me and that i miss her.  I will be writing her a letter today and I'll just send it to Kaysville.  Love you all!

Eldste Godfrey
