This week has probably been the best week of my mission. I had the opportunity to travel to Stavanger on Friday morning for District Conference. When I was there i was on splits with Elder Wandtke. We had a great time together and found lots of success. There was a total of 10 missionaries that were in Stavanger over the weekend. (2 sister and 8 elders) We all slept in the Stavanger apartment. On Friday and Saturday we set up a stand in the city and it turned out great. Elder Wandtke and I walked all over downtown Stavanger contacting people. On Saturday we had a dinner appointment with a bunch of people from the Philippines. Four other missionaries came with us and we had a lot of fun. People from the Philippines are so nice and food was really good too. Later Saturday night i went to a Beatles concert that was performed by the youth in Stavanger. All the youth there are way musically talented they did a great job. I miss being able to listen to the beatles. Sunday afternoon we drove back to Arendal and we decided to stay the night there so we could go fishing with them the next morning. It seems like i've been away from Kristiansand for a while. We worked really hard and also had a lot of fun.
I don't have a lot of time to write today because i just got back from Arendal not to long ago. We caught three fish on the docks. It is started to get a little colder here and starting in October I'll be wearing suit coat when i go out. I haven't bought any of my winter stuff yet but i will probably be doing that in the next few weeks. I heard about the Byu/UT game. Tell Jake to keep it up on his golf game i drove past some golf courses this past week driving to Stavanger. I got a nice letter from Vickie and i got another one from Grandma and Kasey. I'll try and write them back today if i can find some time. I hope everything is going well. Jessie sounds like she has been pretty busy. What has justin been up to? Is he going to be playing basketball this year? Has the pool been used much this year?
Elder Bolt and I are going to be focusing on finding this week and working with members and getting them to come out with us. When we go out everyday we need to always be finding people and i know that the Lord will bless us for our efforts.
