The Norway mission is a lot different then a state side mission. I love it here and the people are way cool. We got three investigators with baptismal dates this last week so we did pretty good. One of them is named Senneth who should be getting baptized this Sunday. She is from Cambodia and speaks some Norwegian and no English. She has a strong testimony in Christ and left Cambodia because of how corrupt it is there. Maurice is our other investigator who has a baptismal date on the 20th of august. We drove two hours away to teach him on Tuesday and then we drove back there again and picked him up for church on Sunday. He lives with a member that is from Congo and Maurice is from Togo which is also in Africa. They are way cool they speak french and little English. They both left their countries for a better life in Norway. they haven't received there visas so they can't work right now and the govt gives them everything they need until they can get their visa which could be a long time. We had a really positive investigator named Waffa. She is from Iraq and is Muslim. She came to church four times in a row and had a baptismal date for this Saturday. We went over to her house this last week and she dropped us. Her Muslim friends had convinced her out of being baptized. it was really sad because she has felt the spirit and knows that it is true. The third investigator we have with a date is Alami, he is from Spain and speaks Spanish and English. He will be getting baptized on the 20th of august also. Sorry this e mail is all over the place so hopefully it makes sense, i would fix it but I'm trying to hurry.
The last investigator i want to talk about is Christina. She is from Chile and only speaks Spanish. When Elder Tedrow and i were contacting in the city Christina came up to me and tried to start talking about the church. She had met missionaries before in Chile i think. Because of the language barrier we called Haymai a member in the branch that speaks Spanish. They talked and we found out that she wants to learn more about the church. We have taught two lessons now and she is very positive. Haymai comes with us so he can translate for her which is really cool. She walked over an hour to get to church when it was raining really hard. So we will see what happens with her in the next couple of weeks. She feels really good about the church. This last week we taught 21 lessons and 5 investigators showed up to church.
The week before i got here my companion baptized Anie who is an 18 yr old Norwegian. Hopefully we will be teaching her parents some time this week.
In the branch I'm in they have one missionary out and two more are heading out in then next two months. They are way cool kids and one of them has been called to Norway so I'm sure i'll be seeing him around. I'll being speaking in church in two weeks so that should be fun. My Norwegian is coming along but i get frustrated at times because i can understand some people really well and others i have no idea what they are saying. I'm sure it will just take time. This week we have a lot of good stuff planned so i know that we will have a lot of success. I met three Norwegian teenagers that are all around 17 who agreed to meet again. i met them at a park when i was with Elder Strange on splits in Kristiansand. I went to Arendal last Tuesday for district meeting and I'll be going there again tomorrow for district meeting. it's a really cool town and the church is like on the water. I hope everything is going good with all of you. It sounds like you are all way busy.

This morning i had a really good personal study on faith
These are some of things i found:
Faith is a gift of God so everyone must work to develop a stronger faith (Ephesians 2:8) We can increase our faith by: diligent study, prayer, dedicated service, obedience to the promptings of the spirit and obedience to the commandments. I realized when you do all of these things then you open the door to revelation. Enos is a perfect example of this. I want to encourage you to read the book of Enos and think about everything he did to open the door to revelation. In Hebrews 11 it talks about faith. Through faith all things are possible but without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is developed by obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Miracles that happen can confirm ones faith but not produce ones faith. It is up to us to act and develop faith which is the first principle of the gospel.

i love you all
Elder Godfrey
