Heisann Familie,
Things our going better then i expected. I've learned a lot in the last couple of days from being at the MTC. I wish i was in Norway but i know that God has a plan for everything and i just need to put my trust and faith in Him. Once i receive my visa i fly out the next day and I'll be going with the two sisters that also got delayed. I don't have a companion, I'm considered a solo missionary. A solo missionary doesn't have a companion i have to be with someone at all times. So its either the sisters and i or Eldste Larson and I. Eldste Larson is going to Sweden and he will be leaving this coming Monday but his district left when my district left. The temple is closed until July 24th so i couldn't do temple work today but i got asked to do service in the temple. So Eldste Larson and I were security guards for the two entrances in the temple. It was pretty fun, all i did was sit on a chair and read Mormons Bok. We were at the temple for about 3 hours and 30 minutes. After we were walking back to the MTC we met this couple walking on the grounds. This guy served in Norway and his wife is from Norway and they actually live there right now but they came to Utah for a wedding. They talked to us in Norwegian and it was really cool. The Lady was converted when she was 18. The guy is from Utah but they moved back to Norway and he teaches accounting at a school there. He said he is the branch president of about 15 in Norway. They said they live about 10 min outside of Kristiansand. I hope i see them later on my mission. How are things going back in Kaysville. I bought 2G chip for the recorder i could use. I don't think I'll have to time to write later on today but we will see. I'll will be more careful with the chip next time. I'm really proud that you and dad finished the Book of Mormon. That's really cool that Justin got up on the wakeboard, i miss boating a lot. The last 7 days Brother Jaffa (Norwegian teacher) has been telling us a lot about Norway and showing us pictures and what not. He told us in couple areas that he served in every p day him and his companion would just go on a hike to a fjord. Norway is most beautiful place on Earth. Well last night we had a devotional by Elder Cree L. Kofford (Emeritus 70). It was really good, he taught us two basic principles that we all know. 1. Learn Obedience: He told us you start to understand obedience when you want to follow the Lord. 2. Learn to Discern the Spirit: This is exactly what i needed to hear and that's maybe why I'm still in the MTC. These last couple of days I've been studying the spirit of discernment. Being able to understand investigators needs by the spirit would help out a lot. He told us about the principle of silence. You can't hear the spirit when you are blaring the music in your car or anything like that. I challenge all of you to go to your sacred groves and ponder all of the things the Lord has given you. Pray to Him and ask questions and then listen to the spirit by using the principle of silence.

Today we have 30 new missionaries coming into our zone. Eldste Larson got made a zone leader with me so we have a lot to do with the new missionaries. Out of those 30 missionaries, 8 of them are going to Norway so it will pretty cool to talk with them today because I'll probably be companions with one of them sometime on my mission. I know this gospel is true and there is no other place i would rather be then to be serving a mission of the Lord. The Gospel is going to bring purpose to peoples lives and they will be able to find true happiness. I love you all!
-Eldste Godfrey
