Hei Familie
The MTC is great! For the some reason the food just keeps getting better and better. The sisters are becoming pretty cute as well. Now that i'm used to the food you can send me packages haha. On Saturday we had our first TRC where you contact a native norwegian in the language. It went a lot better then i thought it was going to go. The Lord really does bless his missionary's with the gift of tongues. My companions are really starting to become good friends. I don't have much spare time because of this new system there doing here at the MTC. All the missionary's will be doing it by August. Elder Hinckley from the seventy spoke to us last night and he said theres a lot of things changing. He said this could be the best time in the history of the church to serve a mission. One of the things that hit me was when he said, "live up to the expectations of your mother." He also said, "you don't want to be a missionary that comes homes and says, i wish i would have..., you want to be the missionary that says i'm glad i did..." Missionary work is an amazing thing. I miss you guys a lot. It want you guys to read Mosiah 3:19. We must submit all things to the Lord. I'm on the Lords time and there is no time to waste. A lot of things i cared about before my mission, i don't really care for now. I don't ever want this mission to end. Don't send me E-mails because i don't have time to read them so just stick with the mail or dear elder. I have been learning more and more about Norway. I'm so excited. It's extremely expensive there. Brother Jaffa are teacher said they give you $400 for food and another $400 for gas and other utilities. Thats not even including housing or traveling on the plane. Sister Frederickson left last week i didn't realize that it was Blairs daughter until she told me that a day before she left. She's going to be a great missionary and i got to know her pretty good. Anyways just know that i'm having a blast and i'm meeting tons of people. We have a lot of fun but it's also a lot of work. I need to Forget myself and have Faith in all things. Only post stuff on my wall that are spiritual experiences or scriptures or something... i don't want everything i write on my wall haha. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord and i can't think of anything else i would rather do. The weeks are going by really fast and we learn so much everyday. I know Norwegian Grammar a hundred times better then english haha. How does that work? Elder Hinckley told us if your learning a language then pray a lot and work your head off and rely on the Lord. I'll be sending a bunch of letters out today if i can write them all so you can look for them in a couple of days. Part of the new program that there starting at the MTC is speaking the language from day 1. You used to start teaching and contacting in the mission Language after four weeks. We are moving really fast. We spend a lot of time doing progressive investigators. Our teachers act the part of an investigator with different interests and personalities. It is like the real thing. We had trouble getting an investigator and my companionship and i got our first investigator two days ago who doesn't believe in God but wants to know how family's can be together forever. We have to teach him in Norwegian and i'm not sure how that's going to work. I'll have to pray really hard for the spirit that when my mouth opens it will be filled with words that the investigator needs the hear. I love getting letters from everyone so keep them coming. I'll probably be sending you home pictures next wed. I hope everyone is doing good and i look forward to hear from everyone.
Elsker, Eldste Godfrey
