Another week has gone by and we only have one week left before Christmas. The city looks awesome and you can feel the Christmas spirit wherever you go. I will be setting up a skype account today and I'll send you my account name and everything. Plan on skyping at 10:00am. I hope that works, it will be 6:00pm here and we should be back from Evje and be at Jason's at around 5. I'm excited to talk with you all! You will have to send pictures of the house next week. Today we actually don't have a full p-day because we have 4 days this week where we won't be proselyting. This is our plans for this week and it should be a lot of fun. On Wednesday we are doing service at the Norwegian church to help them set up for a Christmas concert they're having that night. After were done helping them we will be teaching Annie then later that night we get to go the concert. We take a plane on Thursday morning to fly to Oslo for our Christmas get together. This will be awesome and I'll be to see everyone from my district at the MTC. We will have a fireside, play games and watch a movie. We fly back to Kristiansand Friday night. On Christmas Eve we will be having a breakfast with the Hickmans and the institute center. That night were going to be with the Torjessens family and see how Norwegians celebrate Christmas. It will be a lot of fun with really good food. On Christmas morning we will be driving to Evje and going to church down there and afterwards having an American Christmas with the Zurcher family and then driving back to Kristiansand to the Williamsen family and skyping there. The members have been great here and we have received lots of gifts from the members to open up on Christmas ha ha.
This last week has gone by fast like usual. I sent a package last week so i hope you guys get it before Christmas. It has cards for the family, Grandma Ott and Grandma Godfrey. Read them on Christmas if you can. On Sunday after church we had a big Christmas dinner with all the members. The food was so good! After the dinner we watched the Christmas message from the First Presidency in Norwegian. Annie is continuing to progress towards baptism and she is getting way excited. It has been a huge blessing to see her prepare herself for baptism. She was truly prepared by the Lord. She has been telling her friends in England about the church and also her family in Zambia. At church i showed her the Mormon.org website to give to her friends. She was amazed that we had churches in her homeland of Zambia. She is really excited to be a member of the church and she feels so blessed for this opportunity. I made a rough draft copy of the baptismal program and she went around at church and was asking some of the members to be a part of it. Emily a member from Canada, who is married to a Norwegian named Oscar, has been a huge part in helping us prepare her for baptism. Oscar will be baptizing her on December 31,2011 Annie has asked me to give a talk on the Holy Ghost as well as confirm her a member of the Church. I'm very excited for this opportunity and it will be a very special one. I remember when Grandpa Ott confirmed me a member of the church and how special that was. I'm so grateful this opportunity to serve the Lord for two years and to serve the people of Norway. I love this county and i love the people here.
I love you guys and i look forward to talking with all of you. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas and I'll be thinking of you all.
Eldste Godfrey
